The Lenawee Daily Telegram offered a great editorial which displays the kind of frustration that is growing across the state for those ten Democrats who can't make up their mind, or have made it up, but don't dare tell you. You can read the entire editorial here: http://www.lenconnect.com/articles/2007/09/18/news/news09.txt
Here is an excerpt:
Which principle directs local Democratic representatives Dudley Spade of Tipton and Mike Simpson of Liberty Township? We don’t know. Through four days of votes on HB 5194, neither had voted. According to reports, Simpson did finally cast a “yes” at around 12:20 p.m. Monday, then soon switched back to the yellow light used to designate non-voters. They weren’t alone. Eight other Democrats also had consistently failed to vote, creating some national attention. House Democratic Speaker Andy Dillon has been quoted saying, “We are going to act alone.” But Dillon has not. The House has 58 Democrats, and only 56 votes are needed for approval. Yet Dillon complained unconvincingly that House Republicans were blocking his bill.
