This is hilarious!

You just won't believe what is happening now! The Democrats have only been able to find 52 of their members who will vote for this ridiculous service tax package (need 56 votes). So now, they have sent all of their members over to our side to personally lobby us to vote for it. This is so funny I can hardly contain myself!

My counterpart, the Democrat from Kalamazoo, came over to ask me to vote for this. Guess what he said? "This is a republican idea! This is the fair tax!" Yeah, right. My reply to him was, "OK, you're right, this is like the fair tax, now all we have to do to make it exactly like the fair tax is to repeal the personal income tax, and the personal property tax on businesses completely!" He walked away.

You are absolutely priceless Jack. I too love you. ROFLMAO!!!!!

I too wish you were my Rep. Nice comeback to that idiot. And he probably really thought you would go for it right. There is only one problem with your blog.

My sides are aching from laughing so much. Keep up the great work. Do me a favor will you? Just give JE a boot in the fanny. She is my Rep and she is selling us down the river here in the poorest county in the state.

I agree!! Please put the rest of the Republicans in line in the Senate. WHAT ARE THEY THINKING to even consider going along with this? I guess they think there are too many businesses in MI...need more to leave. Wish you were my senator. I guess he (Valde Garcia) is all excited about a tax on services

Thank you for all you're doing .. and for keeping all of us informed.

Thank you! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I don't know how many people get your 'newsletter' but come on PEOPLE! Show some love. These guys are working their @sses off!

Get the word out people! If the government shuts down, I can't think of a bette cause to do it for! The responsibility will lie completely on Granholm's shoulders! She is the one refusing to sign the extension and using government shut down as blackmail.

Her awarding all those millions of dollars to her friends for the State Police Headquarters is unconstitutional! Not to mention, absolutely a smack in the face to the citizens of Michigan.

I'm not necessarily a partisan person, a conservative, yes, but this whole thing is so absurd. I've never SEEN such polarization - every single proposal from the Democrats is ludicrous, inhumane and gives NO consideration for the citizens of Michigan, while on the other hand, each proposal from the GOP seems reasonable, well-thought out, and in each instance, puts the citizens of Michigan first. The contrast is breathtaking.

COME ON PEOPLE! WAKE UP! Michigan is already the laughing stock of the country - help our GOP representatives SAVE OUR STATE!
