That sales tax vote we took. You should know...

...that NO Republicans voted for it. So far, we are 100% solid. Republicans do not vote for tax increases. Take the time to thank your Republican Representatives for sticking together.
Especially, rickshaffer@house.mi.gov, howardwalker@house.mi.gov, judyemmons@house.mi.gov. They have been the target of much pressure by some to vote for new taxes. I know they would appreciate a note of thanks after all they have been through.

Terrible timing - my e-mail just went down! PLEASE pass on my thanks to each and every Republican House Representative! I can't tell you how impressed and proud I am of all of you. I also am so thankful to the many who took time to personally write to me! A special thanks to Troy Representative Marty Knollenberg and my Senator, John Pappageorge.

To everyone who has been under tremendous pressure, Rep. Green, Rep. Shaffer, Rep., Rep. Walker and Rep. Emmons - a special thank you for all you are doing. Please know the people of the State of Michigan are grateful and stand behind you. We will NOT forget!

Remember, You and all of you that voted against the new taxes are not only carrying out the constituents wishes but doing what really is the best for Michigan. Instead of shrinking state government to match the population the Governor insist on raising taxes.
When this is all over just remember what the Governor said about 18 months ago "IN 5 YEARS I'LL BLOW YOU AWAY" So far she has done just that, Most have moved away.

Just emailed these three. Hope others do too. I'm staying up till 12:01 - this is exciting. If GOP stands firm, the voters will reward us...and punish those who vote to take our money.
Jack - let us know what we can do during these next two hours!

Thank you to all who are standing your ground by not voting for tax increases to effect an easy and misguided fix to a whole host of problems not being addressed. I couldn't agree with Mark more!
