Time to put up or shut down

The legislature cannot stay in session past midnight. If the Dems do not get to 56 votes by midnight, they will have to close the board, adjourn and reconvene, if they wish at 12:01 a.m. The "score" has not changed. 43 "yes" votes remain on the board. All the Republicans have voted "no". 14 Democrats are still out there, not having cast a vote. Not sure if all the Dems are still in town...some may have left, expecting nothing to change. What to do?

Apparently, those "vulnerables" have figured out that perhaps raising taxes on folks who are paying $3.00 a gallon for gas and seeing their house foreclosed on is not a good idea.

The plot thickens. Stay tuned.
