HR 2749: Totalitarian Control of the Food Supply

A new food safety bill is on the fast track in Congress-HR 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009. The bill needs to be stopped.

HR 2749 gives FDA tremendous power while significantly diminishing existing judicial restraints on actions taken by the agency. The bill would impose a one-size-fits-all regulatory scheme on small farms and local artisanal producers; and it would disproportionately impact their operations for the worse.

We already have seed that is good for only one season so they can sell it every year, and who knows what has been done to our food or fed to the cows and animals. We will have to start our own "Armagardens" (as my daughter calls it) but it will have to be in secret so we can be well fed. Loved the 10 minute video of Reagan! What a prophet.

I grew up on a 1,000 acre farm and I can not believe in the "crap" the FDA is trying to pass. The "American Farmers" have it hard as it is trying to keep their farms alive without, passing laws like this. I always told my kids when they were growing up that they should learn how to grow their own garden(food), that some day they may need to know how to grow their own food, there may not be any farms around and it will cost lots of money to buy food if you can get it. Well, kids I hope you were listening!

Can I see a list with references to Sections and Lines of HR2749 by Paul Williams PhD to back up his claims.

I looked for some of his references in the document without success. I am confused.
