What do state employees earn?

http://blog.mlive.com/taking_notes/2007/06/state_employees_everywhere_are.html

The Lansing State Journal published the annual salaries of every state employee. They weren't happy. But, if you are interested and want to know, the numbers are there.

I actually thought it was hilarious. Legislative employees are used to our salary information being spread around like peanut butter and often take constituent calls that scream how overpaid we are. (not) Kind of interesting to see the union employees get the same kind of treatment.

It's good to see that the State Journal backed down. They now only show names, annual gross, and work site (the county). Originally they listed a dozen details about each employee. We're still concerned they may have created new oppurtunities for idenity theft, but at least the criminals will have to work a bit harder.

Or, as my ex-wife, a Dept. of Corrections nurse put it: "Gee, the inmates can never have too much information about thier jailers."
