GM: Becoming China Motors?

The taxpayers of the United States bailed out General Motors. Today, GM is becoming a largely Chinese corporation.
  • 70% of all GM cars are now manufactured outside the United States, mostly in China.
  • GM has partnered with the Communist Party of China to sponsor a propaganda film called "Birth of a Party."
  • China is purchasing large segments of manufacturing and energy in the United States.
  • Nexteer, a joint venture between China and GM in Saginaw, Michigan, is owned by AVIC, a Chinese manufacturer of military aerospace technology, including advanced missles.
Get all the details in this 9-minute video. It is worth your time to watch.

P.S. I have no quarrel with any corporation expanding and doing business overseas. What I think is of concern is that American taxpayers bailed out this corporation and now they are "in bed" with a Communist country that is using American technology and potentially transferring it to Chinese military hardware development. That is something to be deeply concerned about.

Aren't most of those cars that are made in China sold in places other than the US?

The cars made in the US/North America are predominately sold in North America...

I fail to see how this is a big deal?

They have every right to be doing business in China.
