Educating You About Arthritis is Now Our Responsibility

HB 5364 (H-1) amends the public health code to direct the department of community health (DCH) to create a statewide program to promote public awareness about the causes of arthritis. This act would be named the "Arthritis Prevention and Control Act."

It would cost about $1 million in General Fund Money to pay for this program...

What a great idea! Why don't we create a "public awareness" program for everything under the sun?! We've got the money for that!

Oh wait, no we don't.

Have had Arthritis for 49 years. There are 2 things you can do with this stuff. Sit around and feel sorry for your self and whine to anyone who will listen or get up off your keester take 2 Aleve and get on with life. Hot showers help and so does a hot tub. But the last thing you do is take prescription meds that kill your heart, liver and many other organs. I love the TV ads for this junk.

Glycosamine and Condroitin with MSM is great and so are capsules of Garlic and cayenne pepper. This is the last thing we need. Government get out of my life please. Oh and I also have a mixture of essential oils with an extra virgin olive oil base I mix up that takes the pain away in 20 minutes. This nation has become a bunch of pill popping junkies.

Arthritis is a fact of life for some of us. It is how you choose to live that life that makes the difference.

I'm disappointed. I'm a Michigan resident who agrees with Democrats on most issues but at the polls I'm a single issue voter, and that issue is immigration. Illegal immigrants are changing our culture, and it must be stopped. So I look up Carl Levin's (he's terrible on this) opponent this November, you, and I come across a post below where you make clear that you think Michigan businesses should NOT be required to check whether their employees are legal citizens.

I wish I could have given you my vote.

I too am from Montcalm Co and I too am concerned about immigration however if you will really study Jack's record I am betting you will agree with him a whole lot more than you disagree. Get to know him, before you make up your mind. Levin has to go period. I have met with Jack an others on the Family and Children Services Committee and have come to know him personally. He is one of the few politicians anywhere who will stand up for WE THE PEOPLE. My respect for this man and what he is doing and trying to accomplish against all odds knows no bounds.
