Is there a state gas tax in addition to a federal one? I have only lived here for 2 years.

Listening to Generous Genny is taxing -- and causes gas! Thanks for taking the hit for us, Jack.

OK, I guess that class on how alternative fuels may actually be worsening the environment was an extra credit thing. May be she wasn't there. Oh yes, and hey, since we do not have jobs, and are loosing our homes, we will certainly benefit from all this new "green" technology, driving our 1976 Chrysler (it's the only thing that is paid for).

Gas taxes should be equal on all fuels - Ethanol and Methanol should be able to stand on their own. Subsidies will just distort the market, much to our detriment in the future.

How about getting rid of the sales tax on gasoline first? According to AG Mike Cox that is the primary reason our prices are so high.

Sounds pretty typical! Most of these alternative energy schemes only work with tax benies and mandates as Jenny is already aluding to. But the intentions are good even though usually nothing comes of them except higher food and electric and tax bills and a few sharp promoters make a bunch of money! But Jenny and a few other politicians will look good and be gone long before any realizes that bag is empty.
